
Additional loss of damaged fleet units at the end of battle
Update
At the end of battle and in any other exit from battle, a ‘wounded’ fleet unit (armour below 90%) may be lost:
- if more than 50% armour remaining, the unit may disappear into space;
- if less than 50%, the unit may be destroyed;
- the probability of losing a unit will be (90%-N)/90%, with N being the remaining armour of the unit in %;
- the simulator will display these possible additional losses statistically (as well as any other losses);
- the probability is calculated for each unit separately, not for the group as a whole.

So basically Toss just got even more overpowered and all the other races are in hell.
After being here for about 5 or 6 years now..... Is there EVER going to be a change that BENEFITS the players? Like.... EVER?
To the person above me..... Transitionary stage of development? Really? Maybe if the developers have ever made a positive change to this game people might be excited. This game is the opposite of all other games in that all the changes that have ever been made HURT the player, and everyone who has been here for any decent amount of time DREADS new updates.
As soon as I see an update I don't even have to read it, my first thought is DAMN they just did SOMETHING to make this game worse.

finally reverses this ridiculous change. It's ridiculous to lose fleets because their paint is scratched.

Such losses happen all the time
the losses are unsustainable. Plus there isn't even any debris for the lost fleets...
The balance is completely thrown out of whack as a result. xerj have an abnormal deterrent factor with armor-piercing attacks. Shields are now irrelevant. What counts is just armor and regeneration...
Instead of reverting the change, are you so “generous” and adding a new function to an officer to extract even more money from the players? I refuse to waste my money on this criminal type!

Not sure what you are talking about.
- Regeneration does not regenrate armour for a long time now, so not sure how relevant it is.
- shields are exactly what counts if you fight pirates. Xerj has lowest making it way worse in farming.
- xerj pierces shields, but there is also corsairs and EMP. Less ideal but still very good for pvp.
For the officer it makes little sense early in the game. The highest % per HC spent you get at levels 1 and 2 with 3*67HC for 1%. I took pancor as an example and res costs in HC from current market graphs. I would have to loose over 1200 pancors for the officer to pay back. On the higher levels it's even more.
To compare, improving structure also reduces losses because same damage goes into more armour thus reducing %. I'll save you the rather boring math but for xerj every level of structure tech reduces critical losses by 8% meaning it is worth 8 times more then 2 levels of officer. Again, comparing with the market prices in HC the 18th level of tech is much better investment then buying officer in terms of critical losses reduction. Before lvl 19 it's probbaly good idea to buy 2 lvls of the officer. But how many people has structure above 18? Top 5%? Maybe less. So I am not sure how this is extracting money, really.

Victoria, Hi, if its true, changes has been apllicated and actual number is 90%, why I still loose my fleet with scratches about 2-3%?

Round 1 = 16 740 damage to armor DS
Round 2 = 38 464 damage to armor DS
Round 3 = 4 912 damage to armor DS
Round 4 = 1 438 damage to armor DS
Round 5 = 0 damage to armor DS
Thats 61 554 damage to armor DS (3 DS´s there - so in case, all this attacks focus on DS, its still only 61 554 and my DS have 2 817 000 armor, its 28 170 = 1%, so the whole damage to DS was 2,185%
Why I lose my DS in this fight? I see many same questions up here.
