so in two battle i lost two hydarian defences
how is that 70%?

Math lesson here. As each HDI has independently 70% to restore after battle there are three possible outcomes. you have 49% (0,7*0,7) chance to save both HDIs 9% (0,3*0,3) chance to lose both and 42% to lose only one.(summing individual chances of losing only first and only second it's 0,7*0,3+0,3*0,7=0,21+0,21=0,42, or by eliminating other possibilities  it's 100% - 49% - 9% =42%) Then in second battle assuming only one survived you have again, 70% to save it and 30% chance to lose it. By laws of probability the chance of losing one in first battle and then losing scond one in second is 0,42*0,3=12,6%. Not particulary high chance, but far from impossible. That's just a chance of this particular outcome though. Overall a chance of losing both HDIs in two battles is just over 26% (9% of losing both in first battle, 12,6% of losing one in each battle, 4,41% of losing both in second battle, separate outcomes so we sum it up). Again, far from impossible. You just had bad luck mate.

That person seems to dislike you for some reason as well as they are the one who attacked you both times.  They are obviously losing a LOT of gas from the trips to you as you do not have a lot of resources to be looted there in either case...Perhaps they are doing so to "feed" their friends who are selling on bestiary etc?  If you are buying resources from bestiary first I would suggest to make sure who is selling and NOT buy from that alliance OR anyone affiliated with them since they might be a "friend" of that person who figures if they destroy your defenses, you will buy more resources to replace them.  I.E. feed their friend(s) selling them!

That is just my opinion on that, and would not put it past them as I have seen that type of situation in MANY other games...nothing new to gaming strategies there...

I understand defenses are a big thing in the game even though I am new. You aren't keeping a lot of resources on your planet to be looted, so I would make a few defenses. Then just make ships and keep them under FAS so they aren't lost if this person decides to continuously attack you as those two times. They will get nothing and you will lose less in matter of defenses.

Alternately, you can always just MOVE to a totally different area, far away from that person and rebuild there and make it your capital etc as well.  It seems you have the means, and resources to do so.  That might be a better option to avoid that players obvious targeting of much lower players for "easy" kills etc.

They aren't getting battle points or resources, so they have some other motive...I would just move WAY away from there. 200Kcm or more. send a few colonize ships to planets FAR away until you get a good one and move entire fleet there.
